About Our Church
Who We Are
We are a local church in downtown Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, devoted to the Word of God and to fellowship in the gospel. We strive to be faithful to the Bible because we believe it was written without error and inspired by God. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only Savior, whom God sent to save us, that he died for our sins on a cross, was buried, and on the third day God raised him from the dead.
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but the gospel is a message of grace, mercy, and redemption for all people. It is the good news to be proclaimed to the whole world. We therefore arrange our lives under the lordship of Jesus Christ as his disciples and devote ourselves to the work of his kingdom by our participation in our local church. We are not perfect, and we are not yet home, but we are growing in grace and enjoying his goodness together until he comes.
Our six pillars
Our Values and Vision
Five years ago, we planted downtown in Lemoyne at 700 Market Street,
and established these six pillars as the basis of our prayer and purpose as a church.
-
I. Faithful Proclamation of the Word of God
For the Word of God to be highly regarded and held forth faithfully
For the Scriptures to be displayed as the truth of God revealing Himself and His Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior
For this truth to be faithfully preached and shared among us so that it takes root in our hearts, draws us close to God and Jesus Christ, and transforms our lives
For us to continue making disciples of Jesus Christ through the practice of the Word of truth
-
II. Growth of our Existing Church Body
For growth in discipleship and daily devotion in all members of our congregation
For our unity in the gospel of Christ as a church to demonstrate the manifold grace and glory of God
For us to continually be a healthy and growing church in both quality and quantity of the Word of God in our hearts
For worship from lives transformed by the truth of Jesus to evermore reflect godliness and holiness as His gospel reshapes our priorities, commitments, and love
-
III. Rise of Members in Service
For the Lord to send out laborers for the harvest and teach our church to grow in service to His Kingdom, so that the Word of God might grow and change the hearts of men and women
For men, women, and children to rise up to serve in greater capacities within the church
For a great desire to love and to serve in the model and example of our Lord Jesus Christ in the fields of God’s Kingdom
For us to be followers of Jesus Christ, as faithful men and women
-
IV. Continuance of Scripture to the Next Generation
For our Youth Ministry to be a support and encouragement to parents to teach their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord
For the godly friendships made by our youth to be strengthened here so that they last a lifetime
For the enduring effect of the faithful laborers to reach and teach our children, our grandchildren, and children not yet born well beyond our lifetimes
For us to prioritize raising the next generation to know and love God
-
V. Outreach of the Gospel to the Community
For this building to be a source of outreach to the world
For this community to be touched, fed, and helped in every way by the light of Christ in our lives
For this community to see the power and truth of the working of the holy spirit in us
For this community to be reached with the message of Christ, receiving salvation in his name and lordship
-
VI. Glorification of God
For awareness that all good is from God, so that all that we do in this place gives glory to him alone
For us to remember that life is but a vapor and God alone remains unchanged by time
For God to work in humble and meek hearts today to will and do His good pleasure
For this building and the church that assembles here to give glory to God by Jesus Christ in all that we do
Leadership
Our Elders & Staff

About Us
Our History and Story
Our church's story is a good one, starting with our founding in March 1993 as a house church, but where we found ourselves in March 2020 was unexpected. A worldwide pandemic was declared, federal orders were given for a national lockdown, and the whole world was in for an unprecedented and difficult time. At first, it had some novelty, and we found ways to make online church work, but as the weeks turned to months, we all felt the strain and pain. Yet, through it all, God provided, and in a challenging season our church flourished.
As we came into 2021, we began to look more actively for a church building we could call our own. After several duds, we came upon a property that seemed too good to be true. We had no idea what the Father had in store. At 700 Market Street, we found an old house of worship that many generations of Christians before us had loved well, and we saw a place our church family could call home. On October 9th, 2021, we devoted the building to God and prayed for his grace to bless our six pillars of dedication. The next day, we had our first service in our new church home. Now we find ourselves celebrating five years of God’s graciousness to us at 700 Market Street.
The fruit has been undeniable. The joy has been contagious. The fellowship has been heartfelt. The growth has been encouraging. People have been loved. The Word has been taught. The name of Jesus Christ has been magnified. There is a shared sense that we cannot deny: our Lord has purposed for this church to be here, and the things he is shaping within us, we trust, are for Kingdom impact well beyond all our lifetimes. So, we remain confident that this good story of our Lord’s great purposes for our church isn’t finished yet.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you
will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
